Free Cookery Classes with Cracking Good Food!
Do you cook for a community group, run cook and taste sessions, a community cafe, luncheon club or have plans to?
If so, these free cookery classes might be of interest to you!
The Food Futures team are pleased to announce SIX free cookery classes for cooks working in the community!
The hands-on cookery sessions aim to:
- Give you the skills and confidence to adapt basic recipes for a range of meals
- Provide you with the ability to pass on your new cookery skills to friends, family, colleagues and other people in the community
- Supply you with a range of recipes to test out at home or with your community group
- Enjoy as a group the delicious food that is cooked and take away the fruits of your labour!
The cookery sessions are scheduled to be held throughout October, at three venues across the city.

The Food Futures team and Cracking Good Food are joining forces to provide six cooking sessions across the city. The hands-on cookery sessions aim to:
give you the skills and confidence to adapt basic recipes for a range of meals
present an opportunity for you to learn new skills: seasonal, affordable food cooked from scratch
provide you with the ability to pass on your new cookery skills to friends, family, colleagues and other people in the community
supply you with a range of recipes to test out at home or with your community group
Enjoy as a group the delicious food that is cooked and take away the fruits of your labour!

Friday 26th October | 11-2pm | Salvation Army, 71 Grovenor Street, Ardwick, M13 9UB | Bread making for beginners |
Monday 29th October | 11-2pm | Salvation Army, 71 Grovenor Street, Ardwick, M13 9UB | Mouth-watering curry and accompaniments: Vegetable Jalfrezi, Dahl and Chapattis |
Places are limited to 10 people per session, so book early to avoid disappointment.
To book on to a session, please contact Emma Reid on 0161 234 4102 or email emma.reid@manchester.gov.uk. We will then contact you to confirm your place on the class.
Priority will be given to those seeking to pass on their skills to others, e.g. at cook and taste sessions or those wanting to set up a cookery club or luncheon club etc.
