My view on Briefing MP of any rosette colour..

Born of "Im not gonna write to my MP, Not worth it......." FROM MANY PEOPLE...

Everybody could attempt via email to brief their MP, and try to garner support of their MP for resignation of That Minister, the stats , lies, and everything are stacked and available to construct your briefings. This by alerting what you know of That Minister may educate Your MP, as they may not Know what you do. See what I mean? Be factual, be insistent. see what you can do. The more that do this, the more aware the MPs will be. IMHO.

This, amongst other matters is important that you DO communicate .

"My MP is a Tory and..."

Let me say they like you to think that way. they foster that you cant talk to them. If enough people removed the "no point in writing" thought that actively pervades effectively giving unwritten remit to non written to MPs.... then , as I have seen Tory MPs on casework, and also quoting communications in the HoC... do not think its pointless.

You can also publically blog your communication to MP and if not responded to you can go to parliamentary standards committee for misconduct of representation. And some of you have press access.

"& receive nothing but plattudes & standard copy/pasted paragraphs? Please! Visit your MP & personally deliver your concerns, watch the blank face, the false smile & the automaton responses. Observe the absolute lack of concern face to face. Then tell me to keep emailing, writing & phoning these damned puppets."

In response to that sort of arguement I will always say:

I know people where theyve got MPs like you describe, they write still, and also look for MPs who are championing the issue concerned with and write to them explaining the retiscence of their own MP.

In my belief you should combat the "it not worth it" because ONE communication in the right place at right time can make a huge impact.

The One where my very new glasses broke ...

Heres a thing of what i can only call fucked up bullshit ..

I took my glasses monday to be repaired as the arm sheared off when putting them on. I got them in July these ones.
So I asked the fella look, theyre broken what can you do.
He asked me how it happened but Id already told him, so he asked do you take them off and put them on one handed again?, he already had been told that?
I told him all glasses i have had that is indeed the default way.

HE then said These ones weaken if taken off and on one handed.

In my own way i called his bullshit out. Yes it wasnt pleasant.

And i then smiled and said so you ARE going to repair them free of charge then?

Embarrassed he said yes.

Also that it would take a couple of days new frames, existing lenses swap. And that he'd ring me when done.

That being monday.

So Friday not having had said call i went in and asked where my glasses were...
The woman said oh Ive just done those.

I waved phone and said so when were you going to ring me then.

She said MONDAY.
So I said I'll have them now please, as the old ones arent suitable and an extra two/3 days wont be needed will it if they are ready done now...
And so i got them.

How much bullshit can you take? would you have been as calm at collection as me?
Who knows.

Briefing To My MP over "DWP LIES"

Hi Gerald.

It might be youve seen this information, im not sure.

The DWP made fake claimant stories up supporting sanctions, and the photos were stock model images.

How close to we have to be to dystopia for that to occur?

The story was broken by Welfare Weekly and hit some of the Main Stream papers. The Independent was a notable case in point as that was , and is at time of writing getting the most amount of hits on the story.

This is the original story from Welfare Weekly

This most despicable of Governmental Actions , in the past no doubt wouldve called for a Minister's resignation... in this instance Iain Duncan Smith .

Will you along with all you can muster, call for this Ministerial Resignation.
That would be true opposition, and on behalf of the people.

Many Thanks

Jules

Chilcot Report - question to my MP

I wrote ...

Dear Gerald
I know your position on conflict is much similar to mine, and so I ask you to find out either by House oral question or indeed written question, at your soonest convienience, when the long awaited Chilcot Report will be published, and any reasons for its apparent delay. Is this Censure?

I know the wait has been over 1500 days which, to be frank, can only be questionable reason against its deliverance.

.......
A reasonable question I think .

Update Sir Gerald wrote back 27th , and will Raise Oral Question or table a Written Question when Parliament returns after recess.

The one where I write to my MP re Caroline Flint's campaign Funding

I wrote...
-------------

Dear Gerald
I write as i admire your statesman like actions on behalf of your constituents interests. This you are aware of already.

I note via Labour List website that you are supporting Caroline Flint for Deputy leader.

Under my conscience I ask are you aware of the links to her funding of campaign by Lobby group, Sovereign whose clients INCLUDE Maximus .

You have alluded previously to being not impressed, to say the least, with the broken WCA , which, is now ran by Maximus.

Can you please explain why this link to Political funding is allowable as they (Sovereign) are lobbyists for a government private sector based welfare service contractor.
As well as this will this change your view of support?

Its quite a disturbing link, I'm sure you might possibly agree.

To Infinity and beyond! (Well actually, The opticians)

Went to Opticians today

To get tested. For new face binoculars .

Right so.

Got £66.80 from NHS towards glasses. With a total cost of £288 Varifocal And Varifocal sunglasses was cheaper than transitions. If you work out the difference... Thats what i paid but had to use credit.

Also got a referral to eye hospital cos they found some nerve shite or other.

Also didnt get the frames i wanted. Had to choose ones that were vertically deep enough for the varifocal lenses.

According to the really nice Optician "You have pretty strange fooking eyes. " ....Because we were chatting, as you do. Probably also cos she wanted / knew she was selling me stuff, thats another issue altogether though.

Because of the Specification ( combination of Prescription and Production ) they'' take 10 days to get made, meaning to all intents and purposes I'll PROBABLY get the credit bill before the glasses.

The glasses? Couldnt get the ones i really wanted, wouldnt take the script, as i said above so opted for these 50's retro ones...

They are 50's inspired in a range dedicated to the memory of The Late Jimmy Smith, 1925 - 2005 who was a Jazz Organist... that to is for you to find out about. Cos I'm good to you like that....

Any way

i'll have those, varifocal. and exactly the same , varifocal dark sunglasses. Which , was cheaper than ONE pair with transitions.

The new ones i wont need as much strain looking under or out of sides. Just point nose at what looking at and voila. Rather cool, or as someone pointed out "Niiiiiice"

And the Hospital Referral? I put that into the Doctor surgery, obviously, for a REFERRAL, cos a referral cant go straight hospital from Optician can it? Thatd be daft as a brush idea... Or would it? Theres a CCG issue you could, if you require , pursue if thats your bint.

(im really good to you arent I? Thats now TWO things extra you could delve into ALL IN ONE BLOG. WOOHOO!)

Ah. If hospital, once referral comes through, confirm opticians thoughts, I'll have eyedrops to do Every day in perpetuity. Hey Ho.

Now to think how to pay the credit card.... And the bills I have to pay. Back to good old smack in the face with #esareality .

Does the Right Thing include stuff like this Mr Cameron?

Heres how my brain interpreted HELPING someone IN MY FLAT, using MY STUFF
Sequential thoughts from AS IT HAPPENED.
(I tweeted the following)

IMac on cos someone wants do an application online for something. the lappy? no fooking way. Guest account the desktop but NOT lappy.

Theyll be here shortly to drink my coffee and use my puter. Grrrr.

Right theyre here, and my estimate is 15 min max.I poured coffee. Not guested desktop, i still want iTunes running b/grnd.

Got them site, said dont fukabout. As you do. Well, as *i* do , anyway.

*No* visitor , you arent here to chat, youre here to do the thing and fookoff

They from Ashton, Know for ages. Hence permission given. Theys on way to town. To funny enuf, get a puter. So i dont mind, sort of.

You are witnessing tweets on how difficult it can be for me to HAVE people IN THE FLAT, ON MY KIT.

But i'm "doing the right thing" innit. Oh ? thats not the Cameron Right Thing though is it, so im a shithed.

I dont have Open door to use my kit policy by the way. NO way. Not on your nellie will that happen.

THAT would be intollerable

Theyve added... Can i just do another thing. I said yes as you here. 1st thing went ok? .. yep no prob they said.

They nearly done now. I'll let them finish, a coffee and a fag. Then pissoff.

AND THIS IS MY BRAIN with a TRUSTED person!

At least cos they wuz on puter, dog knows LEAVE alone if on puter. So good as gold.

They said " How did you have the music going while I did my stuff" ( they just gone BTW ) . *headdesk*

Also aparrently "they owe me a drink" or something

So contrary to my being MADE TO FEEL A SHITHED as i put it in my tweets , im actually NOT. And the Right Thing Rhetoric is piercing my brain as violently wrong rhetoric. It doesnt INCLUDE all the stuff such as above, and many many other things.
Sorry, This wasnt a rant. Its reality.

Peoples' reality is often far different that the Rhetoric spewed by out of touch privileged Wealthy Family Enabled Idealistic Sociopaths .

That is all for now.
I thank you.

How i cook a chicken "Bosh" casserole

Simple slow cooker chicken casserole.

Really simple.

Heres what I do.

Any couple or 3 or 4 pieces of chicken (not wings)

Onion

Pearl Barley

Garlic

Carrots

Peas

Potato

Dried mixed herbs. I use asian mixed herbs but its totally dont matter which
Approx a pint of chicken stock

( Quantities are really up to you its that bloody easy also theres no NEED to pre brown or pre do anything in a pan whatsoever, thats just vanity  )

Re quantities : I just did a two piece one potato one carrot etc one

Chop onion&  garlic, dice the potatoes, Slice carrots -  Bung in
Bung in chicken
Bung in Pearl Barley and peas
Bung in the herbs

Add any thing you what to theres no rules. So you could add a handful of sliced chillis if you wanted. or whatever. could put tomato in.

Chicken stock.

Low for 8 hrs
Or high for 3/4 hrs

Serve in a bowl with some bread.

Bosh

Im not the only one seeking the truth ....

TRUTH Seekers

Two blogs in the past 24 hours, have both raised the issue of the newly elected Tory Government and it’s Ministers continuing to Lie, to the Commons, the Upper House and the People!
Joe Haleswood enlightened us about Freud, Lying to the Lords about the bedroom tax, whilst Mike Sivier over at Vox Political informs us how the IT system at Downing St deleting emails allows staff and #Cameron to ‘forget’ what has been said/written. Further to this, relating to Mike’s fight for DWP to reveal the truth, a petition to HM Courts & Justice, demanding them to publish the statistics of how many people have died after their benefits were stopped, has at time of writing gained 149,594 signatures.

OH GOD. A reference? I was really...

... really thinking how i could blog this.

But I shall....

I got a reference, and it goes a little something like this....

The first person I ever interacted with onTwitter about disability issues was Jules. Initially what we seemed to share was an innate and extreme dislike of Atos.  After my first tweet, I waited for the sky to fall on my head (like Asterix) but it did not happen and this started a conversation which has now lasted for almost 4 years.  Not that we talk every day or even every week.  But he is part of my twitter world, as is Biggles, his dog, who is getting on now, the aromatic food he is cooking, which smells good through his tweets, and many other details in his life, some confided in the middle of the night, as Jules has insomnia due to his treatment.  Because Jules is disabled. He suffers from a chronic illness which prevents him from working and he has to claim ESA. His intense dislike of Atos and of the WCA stems from his own experiences. Like many disabled people, Jules used to have a satisfying job before becoming ill but he now has to rely on the meager amount of money the government begrudgingly gives him to live on. Jules also runs a blog, which he maintains intermittently, sometimes questioning its usefulness, which is a shame, not only because it is informative but also because Jules uses a unique, colourful and multi-layered language, when he is not speaking to me in French (at the same time).
For somebody using Twitter as often as he does, he is almost shy, definitely modest, and he can certainly get very grumpy, but that is part of his charm. But Jules illustrates perfectly the contribution disabled people can make in society and how valuable this contribution is. Because Jules is very knowledgeable and has an instant grasp of housing issues, when his health allows, he tries to help people in sorting out their problems.  He sees himself more as a facilitator than a problem solver, as the final decision is never his, but he tries to give a different perspective to an issue, by considering all the options and taking a wider view in order to help people work through it until they reach a solution they are comfortable with. Although on one level, this can give him a lot of satisfaction, the reality is that the constant exposure to other people’s problems, and sometimes despair, takes its toll. And so does life on ESA, with the daily frustrations of having too little money to afford what most people take for granted. But helping people also costs money, for technology, transport etc. which is why on Jules’s blog there is a Donate button he is too timid to talk about. Very often, Jules has to stop being a ‘helpy’ because he has run out of money. This should not happen. Jules incarnates the best of the BIG SOCIETY, one that Cameron could only dream of, which is not driven by self-interest or self-gratification, but by a genuine sense of empathy and of shared humanity.

And as he says: ‘A pound in Jules' life goes far further than you can imagine’

Fatboy Slim - Lockdown Mixtape (Week 14)

During Lockdown these have been quite excellent, and 14 so far have all been excellent
