COMPLAIN TO PRESS COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE RE DAILY MAIL

You mayve seen the disgraceful blame on strikes for the death of a girl - By The Daily Mail . The family of Sophie Howard requested that her death not be connected to other events. The Daily Mail ignored this. Complain www.pcc.org.uk

  1. As I understand it, the complaint has to come from the family.

    PCC Website says:-

    We normally accept complaints only from those who are directly affected by the matters about which they are complaining.

  2. If you are affected by any press item you can quote the codes broken in your interpretation... YOU are directly affected as a reader by any break in the publishing codes as an insult and mental harrassment of your common sense. Ron says DIRECTLY AFFECTED seems to be FAMILY only..... That is not the interpretation that is placed upon that statement by many many people. And The statement "Normally" will apply to solo or low volume complaints, however "Extraordinarily" accepting complaints is based on a lot of people complaining. and currently numbers of people complaining on this article is incredibly high... outside of the norm. There is no worry to complain as if you read it you ARE incensed enough for it to directly affect your mind/life.
